A True Story: I Actually Worked in the World Trade Center, But God Saved Me…

When I was much younger and “not the sharpest tool in the shed,” I had an excellent job. My employer was Dean-Witter Reynolds. The company docked me a days pay over something really petty when I first started working there. Being I was so naive, I wouldn’t stand for this. I pinned that pink slip to the outside of my cubicle wall and quit that job soon after, even though I found out right before I quit they were planning on promoting me. I asked if I could pull back my resignation to get that promotion, but they told me it was too late. This is a true story and I have a social media friend who can attest to this if he would like to, as he witnessed the whole thing and cackled all along the way.

Many years later a plane flew into the side of that building, right through the floor I worked on…but I was long gone. God was in control and used my stupidity to save me. There are many others that were not saved. My friend I mentioned above, he still worked for the company that day when 9/11 occurred. But he was late for work, literally on the Verrazano bridge, saw the incident and turned back to go home…praise the Lord! In fact, all the people I knew in that company who still worked there somehow were not in the building that very tragic day.

Some videos of the actual 9/11 events (I am NOT personally in the videos):

Today I remember this, and remember how fragile life could be. God uses ALL things for good, but only for those who love Him, for those who have been called according to His purpose (Rom 8:28). “In fact, this is love for God: to keep His commands. And His commands are not burdensome” (1 John 5:3). Be a person who loves Him, before it’s too late!

If you have any questions about how you could be assured of eternal life, click on the link below or please reach out to me. I would love to guide you in this effort. It would be a real blessing to me, and quite frankly something I might have been saved for…praise Him!!!
