Reaching Higher Ministries 2025 Year-End Newsletter

 

Dear Reaching Higher Ministries partners,

Crazy how fast 2025 went by. It feels like I (Steve) just typed out last year’s ministry update a couple of months ago.

Year after year we tell you that we are so very grateful for your faithful partnership. This year is no different. In fact, maybe it should be emphasized even more. So many good things have happened in 2025 for Reaching Higher Ministries (RHM). It is simply amazing. Here are some of the highlights from this past year, along with our current prayer requests.

PRAISES

  • RHM is growing. The ministry added a part-time women’s counselor, Charis, to serve under the RHM umbrella. Although over the years we worked with a few wonderful independent female Biblical Counselors when women are involved, now to have such a gifted counselor within RHM is a tremendous blessing.
  • We also had a new Board member join us, Todd, in which we are so grateful. He is a very Godly addition that brings a lot of gifts and talents to help guide our ministry, alongside the rest of our existing Board members.
  • Our counseling/discipling load remains heavy, which is such an affirmation of God’s continuing hand upon us.
  • New counseling/discipling needs have arisen, this due to word of mouth referrals from past counselees. They testify what the Lord has done through RHM and want the benefits to spread throughout the Body of Christ.
  • The Lord leads people to RHM through a variety of different ways: website/blog, the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors, our local church, the Prepare-Enrich network, and our worldwide Bible Study.
  • The weekly telephone Bible study RHM teaches has now been running for 32 years. That’s right…32 years! The brother in Christ who initially started it seamlessly filled in for me this year when I was unable to teach. Another additional Godly resource for RHM to have. The Lord’s unending provision is amazing.
  • RHM’s blog and website have now been very likely accessed across the entire planet (per Google Analytics).

 PRAYER REQUESTS

  • Continue to pray for our Board member Tim, who continues to endure multiple major health challenges.
  • Pray for discernment on developing a new RHM website. The site is over 10 years old, has some security concerns, and updates are limited. It has been noted that it feels a bit antiquated as far as feel and function (although still 100% working). If we move forward, we will need the Lord to raise up resources to do this.
  • I had some blood pressure issues this year. Although we are so thankful that the medication prescribed by the doctor’s has worked and stabilized it, these medications are carrying some undesirable side-effects. Pray for the Lord to intervene in this and His will to be done.
  • Continue to pray for the Lord’s overall financial support of RHM.

Thank you for partnership – it is vital and priceless to us. We’re excited to see how our faithful God will provide for and direct us to serve Him in 2026.
