Does the Bible Give Wisdom Related to Romance and Appropriate Sexual Relationships?
Song of Songs (or sometimes known as Song of Solomon) is categorized as biblical wisdom literature. It provides God-centered wisdom in regard to attraction, courtship, marriage, commitment, romance, sex, and conflict. It includes all the integral parts that lead up to, and are included in the marriage relationship, with a biblical model for each.
In our society, which is largely devoid of sexual boundaries, this book‘s reader receives a much-needed divine theology about sexuality. It explains sex, and illuminates that it is truly a God-given gift to be fully enjoyed only in the marital relationship between one man and one woman (Gen 2:24). Song of Solomon extols sexual love, and how it can be celebrated and extremely pleasurable within the parameters of God‘s design. The Author of courtship, marriage, and romance issued mankind a corrective in this book to the sexual relationship, which was perverted as a result of the Fall. However, these Godly instructions and commands are largely ignored. In today’s world, appropriate courtship, marriage, romance, and Godly designed sex is very rarely found. As a result, the consequences are devastating, and a heavy price is, and will continue to be paid for disobedience related to these areas.

Based on how relationships at large are going in the world today, the evidence demands that the instructions for romance and biblically designed sexual relationships in marriage between one man and woman are mostly ignored! Let’s change that for God’s sake, and in turn, for our marriagies, family’s and all of creations sake!
